Whitburn Successfully Defends its Scottish Brass Band Champions Title:
That the Parliament congratulates Whitburn Band for defending its Scottish champion band title at the Scottish Brass Band Championships in Perth; understands that 10 bands competed for the ultimate title, and Whitburn came out on top for the second year in a row; acknowledges that the winning band will receive an invitation to represent Scotland at the 2024 European Championships in Palanga, Lithuania, and the first and second placed bands qualify for the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall, on 21 October 2023, and wishes Whitburn Band continued success at future competitions.

Celebrating the Success of Castle Game Scotland at BASC’s Eat Game Awards:
That the Parliament celebrates the achievements of Castle Game Scotland of Linlithgow, who has reached the 2023 finals of the BASC Eat Game awards under the Best Added Value Product or Innovation category; understands that Castle Game Scotland, founded in 2018, supplies high-quality, local and sustainable Scottish game to wholesale customers; recognises that it supplies a diverse variety of products, including Scottish wild boar, woodpigeon, venison and pheasant to businesses ranging from food trucks to Michelin-star restaurants; notes that BASC’s Eat Game campaign focuses on a commitment to promoting wild game and educating the public about its health benefits, and wishes Castle Game Scotland well when the winner is announced at the BASC Eat Game Awards ceremony on the 23 March 2023 in London.
