Thank you for all your support throughout this campaign. It is an honour and a privilege to be elected as an MSP and I will be an MSP for the entire Lothian region over the next five years. Across the Lothian Region, and Scotland as a whole, we consolidated ourselves as the largest opposition Party in Scotland. Against the odds and against most of the polls, the Scottish Conservatives won 31 seats, more votes than ever before and our highest ever vote share. Congratulations to my fellow Scottish Conservative Lothian MSPs, Miles Briggs and Jeremy Balfour, on their re-election to the Scottish Parliament.
For the next five years, we will work to be the alternative government to the SNP. It will require a big effort but with your continued support we have every confidence that we can achieve it. I promise to stand up for the Lothian region, to hold the new Government to account and to be your voice in Parliament.
